START WEEKS EARLY: Recommended to start plants indoors in flats or pots this many weeks before transplanting to permanent location.

MINIMUM SOIL TEMP: Minimum soil temperature to insure timely germination. Seeds planted before this temperature is reached in the soil are in danger of rotting.

SOIL pH: Recommended range for soil pH.

FROST TOL: Ability to withstand unexpected summer frost. b = Frost will harm these plants when very young.
