Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping

Please double check your shipping address is correct before confirming your order on our website - one of the top issues with shipping is mis-entered shipping addresses from the customer.

  • Order confirmation email that we have received your order. This also serves as your order receipt so hang onto it to verify you have received everything you ordered. (we like to save trees and be as eco-friendly as possible, so do not include a paper copy with your order). Your order should ship out within a few days!

  • Order fulfillment notifications - This is the one you’ve been waiting for! When you receive this email it means that your order has been fulfilled and shipped out from our packaging studio. It will include a tracking number for your order within the email.

  • Tracking numbers - GREAT NEWS!!!! We have upgraded to offer tracking numbers for your order!

    • Automatically sent and included within your order fulfillment email

    • Please contact USPS for any questions about where your package is - we have little control over once your order has been shipped and have the same amount of information you do with your tracking number.

  • Shipping options

    • USPS first class mail is our primary method of shipping since most orders are lightweight and this is the most cost effective way to get you your seeds!

      • The shipping time will vary greatly with first class mail depending on where you live and the volume USPS is handling at any given time.

      • ORDER EARLY - please be sure to place your order in advance with plenty of time to allow for shipping delays. If you order your seeds in mid-April, do not expect to receive your seeds right away, don’t put off ordering your seeds until you are ready to plant!!

      • Use USPS Priority Mail or UPS options if you are concerned about shipping times. These are generally significantly more expensive options depending on the size of your order/destination location.

        • If you are ordering during warmer times of the year, you may want to consider this option to prevent any damage to your seed germination rate with potential shipping delays.

    • Weight - any order weighing at or above 1 lb will automatically ship using USPS Priority mail. Our website is pretty fantastic, but it still has its limitations - if your order is over 1lb (the max for first class mail), the system will still offer first class mail (we cannot hide the option), but WE cannot ship using this method. This is why it will be listed at over $100. Please ignore and choose the Priority Mail option.

    • Timing - the shipping estimates included on the website are just estimates. Also important to note that the estimated time is once your order SHIPS, not from the time you have placed your order.

      • We are a small company and fulfill orders on a first come first served basis.

      • If you need to place a rush on processing your order, you can let us know and we will charge a fee accordingly.

STock Inventory & Availability

Seeds Trust sources seed from a wide variety of growers throughout the Western Mountain and Southwest regions of the United States. These often vary pending availability and crop output. All seeds are open-pollinated, non-gmo, grown using safe growing practices.

  • Our seeds are not Certified Organic because that would eliminate many small growers who grow organically, but are unable or unwilling to jump through the USDA Organic hoops and expenses for this certification.

  • We believe in BIODIVERSITY above all - in our seed varieties, and in who we source from. This allows us to source the best seed for growing and saving seed in high altitude and extreme growing climates.

  • Sometimes it takes a few seasons to re-grow and propagate some of our items - so you might see them out of stock as we work to restock and grow on a responsibly small scale. Be sure to sign up for email notifications when something is out of stock so you are the first to know when we have those seeds available again!

  • Later in the calendar year, we are often low on stock and working to restock for the coming season. If you see many items out of stock, especially veggies, new seed stock generally starts coming in around November/December for the next growing season.

  • Stock varies year by year, and we cannot guarantee we will always have what you are looking for in stock, but we always strive to offer the best varieties to grow in your climate and support regional growers.

Fulfillment Process

Seeds Trust is a side passion for Alisha and Julia - during the slow season (July - October), we are often out and about working with growers, and/or working additional jobs.

  • We do our very best to fulfill your orders as soon as possible, but it generally takes us a couple of days to fulfill. During our busiest season, it can take up to a week. Please order early and take this into account.

Collections

DID you KNOW?? That one of the great things Seeds Trust offers our customers is curated collections of seed varieties based on decades of knowledge and growing in the Western Mountain and Southwest Regions of the United States?

  • Items inside the collections are subject to change for a variety of reasons - we try our best to keep this up to date on the website, and will let you know of any substitutions with your order.

  • Customers automatically get a discount when ordering a collection, but we can’t guarantee every item will always be available. Market rates dictate what we can and cannot include in any given collection based on the inventory and stock we are able to maintain.

  • We do our best to maintain the collection descriptions on our website, but often during our busiest season we are receiving many simultaneous orders and from time to time things may be out of stock before we catch them! Please be patient, we will always do our best to make it right and get you a substitute variety if needed, or offer you a refund if we cannot fulfill what you would like.
